Believe it or not, hidden eggs are exciting even when they don’t contain chocolate! Not convinced? try hiding a few plastic eggs around your home or garden and watch your little one dash off to find them.
You only need plastic eggs!

We opted for a garden hunt, and Ev loved running around trying to spot the brightly coloured eggs. I left them empty, and he didn’t bat an eyelid at that. He found joy in simply locating the eggs, then hiding them himself for me to find. We chatted about where the eggs might be and I used directions to help guide him when he was struggling to find any stragglers.
If your little one loses interest in empty eggs, why not try adding small toys or building blocks into the eggs for them to play with once they’ve found them all?
This activity is great for language, directions and observation. As well as good old fashioned exercise!
